Excellent position to all the amenities and everything required is within walking distance. Hard to find a better base to start from. Bad sound proving in the hotel. |

The hotel staff were really professional and quite helpful. The location just on the Ramblas was great as everything was at a walking distance. There was a particular smell on the floors, like spices or something that was not that pleasant.. Also ask for a room that isn't on the street as it could be a bit noisy. |

The staff were of very little help. Never helped with directions or tips on restaurants. When asked for the best way to get to a specific destination, the staff simply answered "the bus" and offered no further directions or help. They never said hello or good bye as we walked in and out of the hotel. Overall, I was very unimpressed with the hotel staff. You could hear every little sound outside your room. The street is not loud, but the hotel itself was very loud. The staff began cleaning the rooms at a very early hour and you coud hear them coming and going. Around 5:30pm each evening, they restocked mini bars and you could hear the rattling of bottles on the cart that they wheeled down the hall way. |

Great location and helpful staff : Overall atmosphere pleasant Some parts are a 'bit tired' and the hotel generally needs a Spring clean. Our room had a stale smell : Shower door/curtain missing : Window could not be opened properly. Breakfast too expensive. |

great room - big and comfortable one member of staff although local, was very ill-informed about local amenities misdirecting us completely, rather than saying he didn't know, and asking someone who did! other staff members were much more knowledgeable and helpful. this was unfortunate, as this guy's poor knowledge cost us a lot in time and money for a travel exercise that was unecessary. |
