Conceived to be the most luxurious hotel in Europe when it was
commissioned in 1928, the Alfonso XIII still remains one of Spain's most prestigious properties and reflects the grace of Andalucia's Arab heritage.

The hotel is located in the centre of the city of Carmen on the banks of the Guadalquivir River. The hotel’s meeting rooms include a beautiful, traditional Andalusian interior courtyard. They have plenty of natural light and each has a private terrace. Restaurant san fernando: the hotel’s main restaurant offers true andalusian flavours with an international touch. Run by our chef andré sabouret, this restaurant will excite any palate while you relax in this smart and relaxed ambience. Open: 13:30 to 16:00 and 20:30 to 23:30.

Bar san fernando: situated alongside the central courtyard, it serves snacks and drinks and spirits, including an international wine list. Complemented by a relaxing atmosphere with a pianist in the evenings, this is the perfect place for a social gathering or to enjoy afternoon tea and pastries. Open: 11:30 to 22:00.

Bar alfonso: built as the personal meeting room of king alfonso xiii, bar alfonso nowadays serves as a cocktail bar and is the ideal place to enjoy the specialities. Open: 18:00 to 01:00.

Piazza martini: design and tradition work together in the best location in seville. In a modern ambience, our tapas & copas lounge offers a new selection of cocktails and flavours. Open: 13:00 to 02:00.

Built to house the heads of state at the 1929 Great Ibero-American Exhibition, the Hotel Alfonso XIII continues a tradition of luxury. Nowadays, guest rooms are fully equipped with all modern conveniences including latest technology of in-room movies and internet broadband connection.

Please note that extra beds and cots are only available in Grand Deluxe Double Rooms.

For security reasons, the hotel does not provide mattresses, blankets or pillows for our cots. Guests are requested to bring the necessary items.

I like the splendour of the place, the character, the breakfast

the swiiming pool should have a glass dome for use during the cooler month, i felt shot change that i could not use this facilitiy Late october, also the gym could have been a bit more user friendly, felt like being in a confimed and dark space.. Also dur to a wedding reception, we were unable to eat in the dining room when we wanted.........a bit of a let down, spoilt our stay a little bit...

Pool area was excellant. Rooms were kept very clean! Housekeeping staff were excellant. Meals were slightly expensive but worth it much higher quality than the rest of seville where food standards were very poor! Best hotel I've ever stayed in. It was amazing and I loved waking up in it every morning! Bed was really comfortable. Sheets felt like silk!

The price but was worth it for the high quality service

I proposed to my fiance in Seville and spent that night at the Alfonso XIII. The conceirge was incredible. The night before the proposal, he helped arrange for flowers and cava in the room, reserved seats at a Flamenco show (and then called the theater when we were running late to hold our seats), and also helped get our bags in the room without my fiancee knowing. He was absolutely great.

the location

the blow dryer is the ones used at the cheaper hotels. The staff at the front desk were not very friendly.
